On Saturday I held the first taster session at Tindalls, Colchester branch. Tindalls started holding taster sessions just before Christmas and I think they are a fantastic idea. If you’ve always been curious as to whether you’d enjoy a medium, anxious about attending an all day workshop, or perhaps if it’s a particular product you’d really like to trial, come along to a free taster session for a morning and play! Cant be a downside to that! During the session we went through the basics and the general do’s and don’ts. We used Pinata Alcohol Inks, Yupo paper and an assortment of tools to experiment creating different effects. A few also dabbled incorporating various other mediums to see how effective they are when used with the inks these included masking fluid, Promarkers, Posca pens and Brusho to name a few. Below are just a few of the wonderful results produced in a couple of hours. I hope to be holding another of these taster days in the future so if you’ve seen alcohol inks and would love some advice on using them or would just like to play. Please do come along, I will be updating my facebook page with further details on the next taster session closer to the time.
